Chevron LNG (Kitimat)

Compliance Advisor and Environmental Supervisor for Chevron Kitimat LNG.

This contract saw Brian responsible for developing project specific compliance assurance processes for the Kitimat LNG project in Kitimat, British Columbia. He identified operational and verification controls for Environmental Assessment Certificate commitments, and was the author of Chevron’s Environmental Management Plan and Environmental Basis of Design.  The work was undertaken in Canada, Houston and UK. Under Brian’s direction, the scope of work was completed to budget and on schedule.

Prior, while based in Kitimat, Brian was responsible for overseeing environmental work on the construction site. The scope of this work included remediation of a contaminated industrial site prior to fabrication of the construction camp, site preparation and construction of the LNG plant site, marine operations facility and forest access road. Brian managed all environmental issues including terrestrial and marine biodiversity impacts, human wildlife interactions, water quality and fisheries resource offsetting.
